What Happens On the Day of Your Procedure.
You’ll arrive fasted (nothing to eat or drink for 6–8 hours beforehand) and bring a responsible adult to drive you home. Once seated, a small IV line is placed — most patients barely feel it. Sedation takes effect within seconds, and from that point, you simply relax while we work.
After the procedure, you’ll be monitored in our recovery area until fully alert. Most patients feel groggy for the remainder of the day, so plan for a restful afternoon. The following morning, the vast majority feel completely normal.
