Over the course of treatment — typically 12 to 24 months — the wire is periodically adjusted to apply gentle, sustained pressure that moves teeth into their optimal positions.
Despite the rise of clear aligner technology, traditional braces remain the most clinically effective option for complex cases. They correct crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and crossbites with a level of precision and force that no removable appliance can fully replicate. And because they're fixed in place, there's no compliance required — they work 24 hours a day, every day.
Your first appointment includes a full digital examination, panoramic X-rays, and a 3D scan of your teeth and bite. We'll map your exact treatment plan before a single bracket is placed.
Brackets are carefully bonded to each tooth using a safe dental adhesive. An archwire is threaded through the brackets and secured with small elastic ties. You leave with braces on that same day.
Every 4–8 weeks you'll come in for a quick adjustment. We progress through a series of archwires with increasing stiffness to continue guiding your teeth into alignment. This is also when you can change your elastic colors.
Once your teeth have reached their final positions, brackets and wires are removed and your teeth are polished. Custom retainers are fitted the same day to maintain your perfect smile for life.
When it comes to value, versatility, and clinical effectiveness, traditional braces are hard to beat. They handle cases that clear aligners can't — and they do it at a price that's accessible to more families. For patients who want a reliable, proven, and budget-friendly path to a beautiful smile, braces are still the first recommendation from most orthodontists.
