Virtual appointments allow your orthodontist to monitor your treatment progress through a combination of photo submissions and video check-ins — all from your smartphone or computer. You take guided photos of your teeth, submit them through our platform, and your doctor reviews them and responds within 24 hours with feedback, approval to advance to your next aligner tray, or a note that an in-person visit is needed.
Virtual appointments are most commonly used for Invisalign and SonrisaAlign patients between in-person appointments, but can also be used for braces patients experiencing minor concerns — like a wire that’s slightly poking — before deciding whether an emergency visit is necessary. They’re not a replacement for in-person care, but a powerful supplement that makes your overall treatment experience more convenient.

Access our virtual monitoring platform through our dedicated app (iOS and Android) or through any web browser on your phone or computer. Log in with your patient account credentials — setup takes under two minutes.
Take Photos of Your Teeth Per Guide
Follow the in-app photo guide to capture front, left, right, upper, and lower views of your teeth or current aligner tray. The platform walks you through each angle with prompts so nothing important is missed.
Submit to Your Orthodontist
Once all photos are captured and reviewed by you, submit your check-in through the platform. Your orthodontist at Sonrisa receives your submission and adds it to their review queue for the next business day.
Video or Message Response Within 24 Hours
Your doctor reviews your photos and responds through the platform — either clearing you to continue to your next aligner set, requesting additional photos, asking you to come in, or answering any questions you’ve submitted alongside your check-in.
